With over 20 years of dance teaching experience, we teach informed, structured, and fun dance classes in downtown Toronto. We emphasize technique, musicality, social dancing and the deep roots of Latin dancing in all our classes. We believe in the power of proven learning approaches (spaced repetition, progressive curriculums, personalized feedback, guided practices) to ensure our students not just learn their new favourite dance steps but remember them for life!

Co-director & InstructorSince taking his first Salsa class in 2001, Sam has studied various dance styles, including Salsa On1, Salsa On2, Cuban Rumba, Bachata and AfroCuban in Toronto, South Korea, and Cuba. A licensed Toronto District School Board teacher with a Master’s in Education, Sam effectively breaks down complex material and creates engaging, progressive learning experiences. With over 7 years of experience teaching dance as the Director of Salchata Dance in Toronto, and an additional 7 years organizing events and teaching dance in Korea as the Director of Korea International Salsa Site. Sam has collaborated with numerous organizations across Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Cuba to promote Salsa, Bachata, and AfroCuban dance.

Co-director & InstructorClaudia is a versatile dancer and instructor with over 7 years of teaching experience in Toronto’s Latin dance scene. She began her dance journey in Jazz and Latin ballroom as a child, and discovered her passion for salsa and bachata in 2010 through the University of Toronto Dance Club. Having trained extensively in Salsa On1, Salsa On2, Bachata, Cuban Rumba, and Son Cubano, Claudia continues to expand her dance repertoire. As an active choreographer and performer, she takes pride in training new performers to excel on stage. Claudia brings a student-centered and objective-driven teaching approach that reflects her commitment to delivering results for her learners in a fun and engaging way!

Co-director & InstructorIsh, originally from Mauritius, moved to Toronto in 2009 and discovered a passion for Salsa through York University’s Salsa club in 2014. Starting in 2016, he began extensively training in Toronto and New York. Ish has over 5 years of experience teaching Salsa and Bachata, including teaching workshops in those two genres at Latin dance congresses and dance events all across Ontario. His teaching focuses on creating a welcoming environment while emphasizing the fundamentals and roots of Salsa and Bachata.

Guest Instructor - AfroCubanSarita Leyva, considered the Godmother of Traditional Cuban dance in Toronto, is a former professor at York University and the Toronto District School Board. Sarita’s impressive background includes training at ENA (Escuelas Nacionales de Arte), one of the top national dance schools in Cuba, and working with renowned Cuban dance figures like Domingo Pau, Isaias Rojas, Juan Teodoro Florentino, and Ernestina Quintana "Nenita."
